Meet Animal Care Specialist, Kayley!
Meet Kayley, who works with our bears and wolves, and get a behind-the-scenes look at a grizzly bear training session. Training is beneficial to both animals and animal staff by developing positive relationships, reducing stress and providing mental and physical stimulation for the animals. It is conducted using positive reinforcement and these learned behaviors are a way to allow animals to voluntarily allow medical check-ups and even injections, for example.

Prosím znáte maličkého jméno a odkaz na zoo kde je?
Tak sladké miminko🤗💞💞💞Rodiče ho sledují👍👍👍
A)what happened to the mother. B)why did you kill it?
he became the gorilla chip skylark
Did she raise this child? here it looks more like she's playing with it, not showing motherly love?
It’s the Zoo’s vets doing an apparently score like when humans are first born. Takes minutes. Won’t hurt momma or baby. It just checks all the vitals and gives him a viability score of overall health and vigor. That’s all folks.
Ohhh MY ❤
Oh this the baby gorilla That got crushed by those hydrolic doors San Francisco chose not to install emergency stop buttons for. Sad first they chose to let elephants suffer in pain in order to save money. So they ignored the elephants walking on exposed bone until they got taken away from the SF zoo, then a tiger gets shot because again the zoo skimped on safety and so the tigers access to freedom and people was literally just a hop skimp and a jump away and it was inevitable one day it would take that leap, then a baby gorilla dies because once again the zoos priorities were not the animals health and safety but SAVING AND NMAKING MONEY. WHAT ANIMAL WILL DIE NEXT AT THE HANDS OF TJIS ZOOS STUPIDITY? THANK GOD THEY DONT HAVE ORCAS OR ID PREDICT TILIKUM 2.0

Wish they had more recent videos and longer videos like other zoo channels ☹️
These people are disgraceful. They will do anything to take a baby animal from its mother in the hope that the mother will reject it. Then these arrogant zoo keepers declare that they must "raise" the baby and now they have an endless source of videos to post here. Disgusting, immoral and downright PATHETIC!!!!
What I don’t understand is all of the sterilized gloves/gown/mask, making this vulnerable newborn gorilla’s care seem really emotionally detached and alien-like. Everything I have learned about animals and human relations is that animals can’t catch sicknesses from humans. So this precaution seems extremely unnecessary and not healthy for the baby, because he should be able to see the facial expression and have some development attachment to his caregivers via better contact, feeling their loving warmth and touch. Grasping their bare hands, etc. The sterilized dressing made me very sad when watching this video.
Animals, especially primates, do catch human sicknesses, usually respiratory infections. Many zoo animals became ill with covid. Since this baby is bottle-fed, he isn't receiving any antibodies from Mom. It's the same with human babies. As a sidenote...animal care personnel want to raise him without strong attachment to humans. When he's old enough, hopefully they can find a foster gorilla mother who will take over. Or his own real Mom, they don't say what happened to her.
This is for his safety. You would prefer his very life be risked. Shame on you
This is so cute
Nice🥳
